社会デザイン研究科では、教室での対面授業を基本としながら、同時に遠隔地在住の学生の学びを保証するため、オンラインでも受講できる形で授業を行う。なお、履修者全員の了承が取れた場合には、「対面のみ」もしくは「オンラインのみ」で授業を行うこともある。 |
In this class, we will reconsider the issues related to gender differences and reproduction that exist in our daily lives from a gender perspective. The goal of this lecture is to understand how gender roles, sexuality and reproductive events are perceived in society currently, as well as the concept of gender, leading to new perspectives on existing transitional beliefs and institutions.
Today, society recognizes sexuality as a culturally constructed concept, along with gender roles.
SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) exists in a number of ways, while the concept of gender provides new perspectives on sexual diversity.
In this class, gender theory, which has tended to be seen from the perspective of ‘women's studies’, is looked at from the perspective of ‘men's studies’ and ‘sexuality’, and thought is drawn to the individual.
We will examine the biological events of reproduction such as pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding, which have been regarded as characterizing gender differences, as well as the technologies and policies that affect these events.
Gender studies extends to human rights and the environment. In a society where there is urgency in managing crises such as climate change and pandemics, the role of care, which has been assigned largely to women, is being reexamined. Accordingly, we will touch on the theories of sustainability and inclusion, and take a step further into the concept of care, including physicality.

本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
本講義では、性差及びリプロダクションに関わる課題について、ジェンダーの視点から再考する。性役割、セクシュアリティ、リプロダクションをめぐる事象が社会的にどのように認識されてきたのか、またその現状を確認し、様々な思い込みや制度に対し、新たな視点を提供するジェンダー概念を理解することを目標とする。

今日、性別役割のみならず、セクシュアリティもまた文化的に構築された概念であることが認識されるようになっている。セクシュアリティはSOGI（Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity：性的思考と性自認）において様々なあり方が存在し、ジェンダー概念は性の多様性へと新たな視点を提供してくれる。本授業では、これまで「女性学」の視点で捉えられがちだったジェンダー論を「男性学」「セクシュアリティ」の観点からまなざし、個人に引き寄せて思考する。また性差を特徴づけるとされてきた妊娠・出産・哺育などリプロダクションの生物学的事象と、それらに影響を与えるテクノロジーや政策について検討する。ジェンダーのまなざしは人権・環境へと広がっており、気候変動やパンデミックなど危機管理が喫緊の課題となっている社会における、持続可能性や包摂の概念を一歩進めた身体性を含むケア論についても触れていきたい。
