社会デザイン研究科では、教室での対面授業を基本としながら、同時に遠隔地在住の学生の学びを保証するため、オンラインでも受講できる形で授業を行う。なお、履修者全員の了承が取れた場合には、「対面のみ」もしくは「オンラインのみ」で授業を行うこともある。 |
Cultural policy and arts management in Japan have developed through debates and practice since the 1990s, rooted in earlier traditions of cultural administration. This course focuses on their relationships with citizens and local communities, helping students develop perspectives for rethinking their own regions.
The first half of the course introduces key concepts and examples in cultural policy, cultural administration, and arts management. In the second half, students research arts and cultural systems in a region they know well and give individual presentations.

本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
文化政策とアートマネジメントは国内では1990年代を通じて議論や実践が重ねられてきたものである。その背景には1970年代から続く、文化行政の歴史があった。いずれにも共通する論点として、本授業では「市民」や「地域（自治体）」とのかかわりに着目する。その考え方や実例を学ぶことから、自らがかかわりのある地域を捉え直す視点の獲得を目指す。

前半は総論として文化政策、文化行政、アートマネジメントにまつわる考え方や実例のレクチャーを行う。受講生は居住地や出身地など自らが土地勘のある地域をひとつ選び、その地域での芸術文化に関わる制度や取り組みを調べ、後半では個人プレゼンテーションを行う。
