社会デザイン研究科では、教室での対面授業を基本としながら、同時に遠隔地在住の学生の学びを保証するため、オンラインでも受講できる形で授業を行う。なお、履修者全員の了承が取れた場合には、「対面のみ」もしくは「オンラインのみ」で授業を行うこともある。 |
Students will make documentaries as a practical method of social design. Students will find "social issues" and "movements that help solve the issues" that they have noticed around themselves, collect data, film, and visualize the issues as video content. The goal is to share the social issues with many people by showing the content and to create a movement to solve the issues.
Students will learn a series of theories and techniques on planning, collecting data, composition, filming, interviewing, editing, and narration, etc. The course will be based on lectures on theory and case studies of existing documentaries, and practical exercises using video cameras and editing equipment will be conducted. In the practical exercises that will be carried out in the course, students will be divided into groups to collect data, film, and produce works. Students who wish will carry out fieldwork for regional data collection during their holidays and other time.

本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
社会デザインの実践的手法としてドキュメンタリー制作を行います。自らの周囲で気付いた「社会課題」や「課題解決に資する動き」などを見つけ、取材、撮影して映像コンテンツにして可視化。そのコンテンツを視聴することで社会課題を多くの人々と共有し、課題解決に踏み出す動きを作ることを目標にします。特にみなさんの専門領域や修論の主題やリサーチクエスチョンに関わるテーマにも取り組むことを勧めます。

地域社会における社会デザインの実践的手法としてドキュメンタリー制作を行います。自分の研究テーマや普段違和感を感じている事象、自らの社会的な活動、周囲にある先進的な取り組みなどを取材、撮影して映像コンテンツで可視化します。映像は情報量も多く、編集などによってわかりやすくメッセージを多くの人々と共有することができます。
まず企画から取材、構成、撮影、インタビュー、編集、ナレーション等制作に関する一連の理論と技法を報道番組に長年取り組んできた教員が講義を行います。その後、ビデオカメラ・PC等編集機材を使用した実技演習を行います。授業内に実施する実技演習では実際に取材・撮影を行い、作品を制作する。希望者を対象に、休日等を利用して地域取材のフィールドワークを実施します。また、状況によってはオンラインでの演習と取材も行います。この地域ドキュメンタリーの制作を通して課題解決のためのネットワーク形成やナレッジマネジメント、コミュニティの自治、地域のプロデュースなどの社会デザイン手法の取得を目指します。
