21世紀社会デザイン研究科では、教室での対面授業を基本としながら、同時に遠隔地在住の学生の学びを保証するため、オンラインでも受講できる形で授業を行う。なお、履修者全員の了承が取れた場合には、「対面のみ」もしくは「オンラインのみ」で授業を行うこともある。 |
In the seminar format, students will deepen their own research through presentations, reports and discussions. We will also incorporate the use of media coverage and filming techniques into the field surveys and interviews.
Students will select a theme that they consider to be a problem that needs to be solved in social design or in their surrounding environment, and conduct a survey and research. Students will advance their research individually or in groups toward preparation of a master's thesis or research report. In addition, students will devise new ways of expressing and conveying themes by making use of techniques such as videos, media, and digital archives, which are the specialized areas of the lecturer.

本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
ゼミ形式で、発表、報告、討論で各自の研究を深めていく。また、フィールド調査やインタビューの過程で報道取材や撮影の手法を使うことも取り入れる。

社会デザイン領域においてあるいは自身の周囲において解決の必要な課題であると認識するテーマを選び、調査・研究を行う。修士論文・研究報告書に作成に向けて、個人もしくはグループで研究を進める。また、講師の専門領域である映像やメディア、デジタルアーカイブなどの手法を生かしてテーマについて新たな表現や伝え方も工夫する。
