1) To become familiar with the key features, logical organization and conventions of academic writing at master's level. 2) To develop a firm understanding of plagiarism, its serious ethical consequences and how to avoid them. 3) Through exposition to high-quality models of academic writing and engagement in a variety of practical exercises, to develop successful strategies for incorporating information and viewpoints from existing sources.
This course will introduce students to the key organizational, rhetorical and critical thinking skills needed for writing a master's thesis in English.
