【Course Objectives】

This course aims for students to understand relevant theories and research approaches within the environmental humanities.

【Course Contents】

Each class picks one relevant topic within the environmental humanities. Students are expected to read the designated literature in advance, present a summary in class when assigned as a presenter (to be discussed depending on the number of students), and actively engage in in-class discussion.

Instructions for study outside of class hours will be provided to students registered on the Canvas LMS at the time of registration. Students will need about 2 hours each for preparation before and review after each class.

Each student is allowed three absences from class over the course of the semester without direct penalty to their grade; however, this does not include penalties that may result from missing a deadline, etc. If you miss 5-15 minutes of a class, that will count as 1/2 an absence; if you miss more than 15 minutes of a class, that will count as an absence.
