Project Cycle Management course is designed to provide students with practical knowledge of the management method, skill and tool for development projects. Students will learn multiple steps of participatory planning and evaluation method.
The class will focus on Project Cycle Management that is one of the management methods widely used in the international development community. The method includes participatory planning, monitoring, and evaluating stages of development projects.
The course introduces visual and written cases which enable students to understand how projects are planned, monitored and evaluated in the local context. Some important concepts such as participatory development, logical framework approach, ownership by stakeholders, institutional development, gender issue, and private sector's role will be discussed. Students active participation is expected.

プロジェクト・サイクル・マネジメント・コースは、国際協力プロジェクトのマネジメント手法、スキル、ツールに関する実践的な知識を習得することを目的としています。学生は、参加型計画と評価手法の複数のステップを習得します。
Project Cycle Management course is designed to provide students with practical knowledge of the management method, skill and tool for development projects. Students will learn multiple steps of participatory planning and evaluation method.
この授業では、国際開発業界で広く使われている事業管理手法のひとつであるプロジェクト・サイクル・マネジメントに焦点を当てる。この手法には、国際協力プロジェクトの参加型計画立案、事業モニタリング、事業評価の段階が含まれる。
この授業では、途上国の文脈でプロジェクトがどのように計画され、モニタリングされ、評価されるかを理解できるよう、映像事例とテキスト事例教材を活用する。参加型開発、ロジカル・フレームワーク・アプローチ、ステークホルダーのプロジェクトに対するオーナーシップ醸成、制度構築、ジェンダー問題、民間セクターの役割などの重要な概念についても議論する。学生の積極的な参加が期待される。
