In this seminar, students will learn how to read critically literature on art history and visual culture studies. They will learn different methodologies in the field and will be able to apply them in their study.
We will read different types of primary and secondary literature on art history and visual culture to grasp states of research, methods and approaches, and rules on how to use primary documents. Students will actively apply the knowledge they acquired to their argument during each seminar and their presentation.

美術、アートを中心とする視覚的な表現（物）および視覚文化に関する研究動向を理解し、種々の資料を批判的に読み、研究方法を自らの研究に応用することができる。
In this seminar, students will learn how to read critically literature on art history and visual culture studies. They will learn different methodologies in the field and will be able to apply them in their study.
受講生の研究トピックをを踏まえ、一次資料や二次資料にかかわる研究書等を使用し、研究動向、研究方法、資料の取り扱いなどについて実践的に学び、演習時の討論や研究発表を通じて応用していく。
