備考/ NotesNotes |
The aim of this course is to acquire the basic knowledge needed to write a thesis in the field of literature and drama, and decide on the writer(s), the period(s), the genre(s), or particular works and themes they would like to focus on.
Students will choose works that they are interested in and report on their understanding of the text and its interpretation. The instructor will check that their interpretation is not based on the misreading of the language used in the text. This will be followed by the reading of the relevant criticism and background research. We will repeat this process for each text and in doing so, determine the direction the student's research is to follow.
