【Course Objectives】

MA students will be able to understand more about the way vocabulary works in learning English as a foreign language. Particularly, they are expected to acquire the empirical knowledge necessary to make informed choices about vocabulary teaching and testing.

【Course Contents】

This course will offer a comprehensive introduction to vocabulary for English language teachers who would like to know the way vocabulary works. Using the assigned textbook, students are expected to make presentations about what vocabulary is, how it is taught, and how it is tested. They will also discuss a variety of topics about teaching vocabulary in a classroom.
