The objectives of this course are: 1) to acquire basic knowledge of the main concepts of economic anthropology, and 2) to develop skills in examining the economic phenomena that surround us.
Economic anthropology, a sub-discipline of cultural anthropology, has shown the astonishing diversity of economic systems through the analysis of case studies from around the world. The purpose of this course is to help students understand various economic systems through reading literature, and to acquire a perspective that relativizes the market economy.

この授業では、(1)経済人類学の基本的概念を理解し、(2)私たちをとりまく経済的現象を分析する力を身につけることを目標とします。

文化人類学の下位分野である経済人類学は、経済システムの驚くべき多様性を、世界中の事例の分析を通して示してきました。この授業では、文献講読を通して、贈与や再分配など多元的な経済のあり方への理解を深め、あらゆる財やサービスが市場て売買される経済を相対化する視点を身につけていきます。
