社会デザイン研究科では、教室での対面授業を基本としながら、同時に遠隔地在住の学生の学びを保証するため、オンラインでも受講できる形で授業を行う。なお、履修者全員の了承が取れた場合には、「対面のみ」もしくは「オンラインのみ」で授業を行うこともある。 |
The course examines contemporary society as living in saikan, the interval between recurring disasters, and explores the potential of culture as a means of survival. Students develop their own perspectives through key concepts, institutions, past events, and case studies.
The first half of the course covers core concepts and case studies related to the course theme, addressing disasters broadly as sources of crisis. In the second half, students research cases of their own interest and engage in individual presentations and discussion.

本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
現在を繰り返す災禍のなかを生きる「災間」の社会と捉え、その社会を生き延びる術としての文化の可能性を模索する。災禍と文化にまつわる基本的な考え方や制度、過去の出来事、各地の事例を知り、自分なりの捉え方を獲得することを目指す。

前半は本授業のテーマの基本的な考え方、総論的な話題とさまざまな事例をケーススタディとして共有する。災禍としては、自然災害だけでなく、事故、公害、戦争など広く「危機」をもたらす出来事を扱う。後半では自らの関心に基づく事例を調べ、個人でのプレゼンテーションとディスカッションを行う。
