社会デザイン研究科では、教室での対面授業を基本としながら、同時に遠隔地在住の学生の学びを保証するため、オンラインでも受講できる形で授業を行う。なお、履修者全員の了承が取れた場合には、「対面のみ」もしくは「オンラインのみ」で授業を行うこともある。 |
In recent years, large-scale high-rise redevelopment projects in central urban areas have been performing well and attracting significant investment.Meanwhile, in suburban areas and regional cities, real estate development investment remains generally sluggish due to soaring construction costs and insufficient demand.The population is concentrated in urban areas, making it increasingly difficult to even maintain other regional communities.This course will focus primarily on suburban areas to deepen our examination of the sustainability of local communities.
In class, we will first learn about the differences in the development and current state of central urban areas, suburban areas,and regional cities.Beyond that, setting aside central urban areas benefiting from laws like the Urban Regeneration Special Measures Act and regional cities receiving subsidies for regional revitalization, we will focus on suburban areas with few special support measures. We will consider methodologies for revitalizing local communities and creating new value, building upon discussions.

本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
近年、都心部においては大規模高層再開発ビルなどが好調で多くの投資が集まっている。その一方で郊外部や地方都市では工事費の高騰と需要不足により不動産開発投資は総じて低調である。人口は都市部に集中して、その他の地域コミュニティは維持することさえ困難になってきている。本授業では主に都市郊外部を中心にスポットを当てて、地域コミュニティの持続可能性について考察を深めていく。

授業では、まず都心部、都心郊外、地方都市における成り立ちと現状の違いを学んでいく。そのうえで都市再生特別措置法などの恩恵を受ける都心部と地方創生の補助金などがある地方都市をおいておいて、特段の支援メニューが少ない都市郊外部にフォーカスして地域コミュニティの再生と新たな価値の創出の方法論について議論を踏まえながら考えていく。
