This class will primarily follow a format of lectures along with text-based materials, oral presentations, and discussions. Initially, we will deepen our understanding of the complexity of the nature of Formulaic Language (FL) and explore various definitions associated with it. We will also introduce its connections with various fields of linguistics, such as psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, language acquisition theory, corpus linguistics, and more.
