To develop better understanding of qualitative research conventions in the field of Intercultural Communication through learning about different schools of thoughts.
Through a detailed overview of the major post-positivist traditions, we will deepen our understanding of qualitative orientations found in Intercultural Communication research and become familiar with working in them. Our reading will cover the interpretive, structuralist, critical, and "post" traditions.

質的アプローチによる異文化コミュニケーション研究の理論的枠組みを体系的に理解することで、研究テーマに取り組むにあたり、分析や考察において自分の視座・立ち位置により自覚的になる。
To develop better understanding of qualitative research conventions in the field of Intercultural Communication through learning about different schools of thoughts.
コミュニケーション研究に深く関連する理論の系譜をたどることで, 概念や理論的枠組み, 視点の関連性に目を向けると同時に, それらに則った様々な実践を概観する。具体的には, 様々な知の潮流（解釈的系譜,批判的系譜など）についての論考を読み, 討議することで理解を深めたい。
