臨床心理学的に意義のある研究テーマを設定し、教員の指導の下に個別研究を実施して、博士学位論文につながる研究成果をまとめられるようにすること。
臨床心理学の研究者として自立して研究を企画、実施し、論文としてまとめる能力を獲得すること。
臨床心理学の実践と理論の間の関係を熟知した上で、現場に還元できる研究を行なう能力を獲得すること。
臨床心理学における倫理性を踏まえ、支援を必要とする人と支援をする人の双方にとって意義ある研究を行なう能力を獲得すること。
臨床心理学の研究の発展に寄与する研究を行なう能力を獲得すること。
博士論文とは何かについて考え、臨床心理学の理論と実践に研究が還元できることは何かを熟考する。研究テーマの検討、先行研究の検討、研究方法の倫理性の検討、博士論文の構成等の検討及び研究に関する指導・助言を行う。
