We shall view representative works by Shinji Aoyama and comprehensively read critiques thereof. The planned reading list includes two volumes: “The Shinji Aoyama Chronicles” and “Shinji Aoyama: Unfinished Works”. Building upon this, and considering how Aoyama's films have been discussed thus far, the objective is for each student to write a critical essay on a work that left a lasting impression.
We shall explore how to view films with an approach that treats them as objects of study while simultaneously enjoying them as simple spectators. We shall develop interpretations of films without allowing this to impede the pleasure of viewing them as ordinary audiences. It is this method of film viewing that we wish to investigate together with the students.

オンライン上で課題を入力できる機器
日本を代表する映画監督の一人である青山真治の作品の鑑賞と批評の読解をとおして、映画について文章を書くことの意味を探求する。まずは、映画を論じるさまざまな文体に触れ、それぞれの論者が何をどのように論じているかを把握する。青山真治の作品に触れ、批評を読むことをとおして、それらの作品に限らず映画とは何かというテーマについて理解を深めることを目標とする。
青山真治の代表的な作品を鑑賞し、その批評を網羅的に読む。『青山真治クロニクルズ』『青山真治アンフィニッシュドワークス』の２冊の輪読を予定している。そこから、青山真治の映画はこれまでどのように論じられてきたのかをふまえて、受講生各自が印象に残る作品について批評的な文章を書くことを目標とする。
映画を研究の対象として扱いながら、同時に素朴な観客としてそれを楽しむことができる。映画の解釈を展開しながら、それが素朴な観客としての快楽を阻害しない。そのような姿勢で映画をみる方法を受講生とともに探求していきたい。
