Students will experience the processes for advancing individual research in modern British and other European history (setting up research questions, literature review, academic paper writing, debate, etc.).
In each session, this course will focus on the learning of literature survey about modern British and European history, particularly how to find, access, and read academic papers written in English, which includes individual presentation and subsequent Q&A. Thorough these programs, students will develop the basic skills of historical research.

イギリス史をはじめとして，ヨーロッパ近代史の個別研究を進めていく諸過程（問題発見, 調査, 論文構成, 討論など）を体験する。
Students will experience the processes for advancing individual research in modern British and other European history (setting up research questions, literature review, academic paper writing, debate, etc.).
イギリス史を中心として英語文献のサーヴェイの手法をとりあげる。特に文献の検索, 入手, 読解について学び, 個別報告とそれをめぐる質疑応答を通じて, 基礎的な調査能力を滋養する。
