Students will aim to organize prior research, collect historical materials, and perform readings related to their research, on the premise of writing graduation theses on research themes related to modern Japanese history studies.
Students who wish to pursue research themes involving modern Japanese history studies will perform necessary preparatory work on the premise of writing graduation theses. Students will create and report on outlines based on the organization of specific prior research and the presentation of historical materials related to the themes they wish to pursue. Based on this, the course will provide instruction on methods of surveying historical materials, reading historical materials, discussion of reports, writing of academic papers, etc.

日本近代史に関する研究テーマで卒業論文の執筆を行うことを前提に、各自の研究テーマに関する先行研究整理、史料収集・講読を行うことを目的とする。
Students will aim to organize prior research, collect historical materials, and perform readings related to their research, on the premise of writing graduation theses on research themes related to modern Japanese history studies.
日本近代史にかかわる研究テーマを追究したい学生が卒業論文を執筆することを前提に、必要な準備作業を行う。各自が追究したいテーマに関して，具体的な先行研究の整理や史料の提示に基づいたレジュメ作成，報告を行ってもらう。その上で，史料調査の方法，史料の読み方，報告に関する議論，論文執筆などに関する指導を行う。
Students who wish to pursue research themes involving modern Japanese history studies will perform necessary preparatory work on the premise of writing graduation theses. Students will create and report on outlines based on the organization of specific prior research and the presentation of historical materials related to the themes they wish to pursue. Based on this, the course will provide instruction on methods of surveying historical materials, reading historical materials, discussion of reports, writing of academic papers, etc.
