【Course Objectives】

Regarding elucidation of the mutual relationships among "environment," "ecology," and "culture," students will learn about research subjects, methods, and means of demonstration through specialized documents, academic papers, and practical experience involving geography, ecological anthropology, and other fields.

【Course Contents】

Course takers will find their own research themes and advance their research. Students will determine themes combining past research with their own awareness of issues, formulate survey plans, and carry out fieldwork. Based on this, students will analyze and consider data. Students will actively read academic papers in related fields and perform research reviews related to their research themes. The course will deepen debate with participants concerning the setting of research themes, reviews of related research, and construction, analysis, and consideration of research methods, and will enable participants to put these into practice on their own.
