Students will acquire fundamental knowledge, concepts of folklore and research methods through basic literature, ethnography journals, and folklore surveys through fieldwork.
The course will proceed in exercises format, through group reading of basic literature and ethnography journals, and prior surveys for fieldwork. In the first half of the course, presenters will introduce subjects of interest through research in the field, and will share knowledge and concepts of folklore with course takers while engaging in discussion. The second half will focus on prior surveys in folklore surveys during summer vacation. Students will conduct presentations in groups.

基礎文献や民俗誌の輪読、民俗調査を通して、フォークロアの知識と考え方、研究方法を身につける。
Students will acquire fundamental knowledge, concepts of folklore and research methods through basic literature, ethnography journals, and folklore surveys through fieldwork.
基礎文献・民俗誌の輪読、民俗調査の事前調査を演習形式で進める。前半は発表担当者が興味のあるテーマについて現地調査をふまえて紹介し、討論をしながらフォークロアの知識・考え方について受講者で共有していく。後半は夏季休暇中に行う民俗調査についての事前調査。いずれもグループワークとして行う。
