To explore each student's own research theme while improving reading and comprehension skills of academic research books, articles, and historical documents on Japan's early modern transition period (focusing on the 19th century). To acquire an understanding of the fundamentals for writing research papers and the ability to practice in accordance with individual assignments.
The participants will present a report based on summarizing previous research and providing relevant historical materials regarding their own research themes. They also read historical materials to solidify the foundation of empirical research.

日本近世近代移行期（19世紀を中心とする）についての専門的な研究書・論文および史料の読解能力を高めながら、各自の研究テーマを探究する。論文執筆のための基礎を理解し、個別の課題にあわせて実践していく力を身につける。
To explore each student's own research theme while improving reading and comprehension skills of academic research books, articles, and historical documents on Japan's early modern transition period (focusing on the 19th century). 各自の研究テーマに関する先行研究の整理、関係史料の提示に基づく報告を行う。また、史料の講読などを行い、実証研究の基礎を固めていく。
