Students will set research themes, position their research themes as prior research of folklore studies and cultural anthropology, discover topics and unique approaches in the research, and connect these to their graduation theses. Students will and be required presentation of collection of case study data through fieldwork.
Students will independently set research themes and deliver individual presentations. The first half of the course will consist of reviewing prior literature on students' themes, and research planning. Adjacent domains will also be considered for prior research. In the second half, students will report on the cases they are investigating, and on their survey plans for the summer vacation period. Through repeated discussions during the course, students will learn as they share methods for academic paper writing, surveying, data presentation, and analysis.

研究テーマを設定し、民俗学・文化人類学の先行研究に位置づけ、自分の研究の課題と独自性を見出し、卒業論文につなげる。その際に、民俗調査によるデータの収集・提示を行う。

学生が主体的に研究テーマを設定し個人発表を行う。前半はテーマについての先行研究のレビューと研究計画。先行研究は隣接領域も含めて視野に入れる。後半は調査対象となる事例・夏季休暇中の調査計画について報告を行う。全体での討論を重ねて、論文の書き方、調査方法、データの提示方法・分析方法を共有しながら学んでいく。
