This lecture will methodically instruct the minimal essential political mechanisms, concepts, and theories required for comprehending "modern democratic government". The initial segment of the course will center on rudimentary knowledge, while the latter half will address specific political phenomena.
The aim of this lecture is to equip students with foundational knowledge of contemporary democratic politics. The objective is for students to be able to grasp various political phenomena, and to cultivate a self-awareness as practitioners of democratic politics.

本講義では、「現代民主政」を理解するにあたり、最低限必要な政治の仕組みや概念・理論について体系的に教授する。前半は基礎的な知識の教授を主とするが、後半では具体的な政治現象も扱う予定である。

現代民主政の基礎知識を身につけることを目的とする。そして、履修者がそれ元にさまざまな政治現象を理解し、民主政の実践者としての自覚を持てるようになることを目指す。

| 2 | 自由主義と民主政治 リベラルデモクラシー（自由民主主義）とは何かを、自由主義的な考え方の登場から民主政治との結びつきへと至る過程を踏まえて解説する。 |
| 3 | 国民国家と民主政治 民主政治とは何かを解説する。ネイション(国⺠、⺠族)、そして国民国家(ネイション・ステイト)の成立を解説する。 |
| 4 | 民主制の再定義 議会制民主主義、全体主義、そして多元主義に基づく民主政治のモデルについて解説する。 |
| 5 | 民主政治と社会福祉 福祉国家と社会保障の仕組み、ならびにリバタニズムについて解説する。 |
| 6 | 民主政治の多様な仕組み 議会内閣制、大統領制を説明した後、多数決型民主政治と合意型民主政治という区別についても解説する。 |
| 7 | 選挙 選挙制度の仕組み、選挙運動、投票行動など、選挙に関するトピックを解説する。 |
| 8 | 議会と政党 議会内閣制や大統領制議会の役割を解説した後、政党の役割を概観し、55年体制から近年の政界再編の動きを解説する。 |
| 9 | 政策過程と官僚・利益集団 官僚制度、利益集団とは何かを解説する。そして、それらが政策にどのように関与するかも解説する。 |
| 10 | 世論とマスメディア 政治におけるメディアの影響力について、新聞からネットメディアまで幅広く解説する。 |
| 11 | 地方自治 地方自治はなぜ必要なのか。地方分権、地方政治、地方財政などを中心に解説する。 |
| 12 | 政治とグローバル化 主権国家の台頭から国際関係の成立、そしてグローバル化と国際政治について解説する。 |
| 13 | 政治参加の理論 政治理論の基礎、とくに参加民主主義の理論、市民運動論、承認の政治理論を解説する。 |
| 14 | 承認をめぐる政治 政治におけるフェミニズムの貢献、多文化主義、市民的公共性、熟議民主主義論の展開について解説する。 |

（1）パワーポイントを使用した講義形式で行う。
（2）学生への質問も活発に行う予定なので、積極的な授業態度が期待される。
（3）参考文献や小テスト、課題レポートなどは「Canvas LMS」上で告知する。
（4）資料の配布、課題の提出などに「Canvas LMS」を使用する。
（5）小テストは、必要に応じて、次回授業開始にフィードバックを行う。
（6）レポート試験については、「Canvas LMS」上で全体に関して講評する。
（7）進行状況や習得状況に応じて、上記の授業計画内容を多少前後させることがある。
