Students will learn methods for considering phenomenon of education related mainly to schools from a perspective of Historical Sociology. At the same time, they will learn writing skills in order to learn presentation manners and writing good papers.
Class activities will mostly focus on reading, debating, and writing. Students will read literature and discuss in order to consider the phenomenon of education related to schools from a perspective of Historical Sociology (including cultural history, psychological history, and social history in some cases). At the same time, they will learn writing skills in order to compose reports.

主に学校における教育事象について，歴史社会学の視点から考察するための方法を学びます。併せて発表の作法，論文作成のための文章表現を学びます。
Students will learn methods for considering phenomenon of education related mainly to schools from a perspective of Historical Sociology. At the same time, they will learn writing skills in order to learn presentation manners and writing good papers.
読むこと，議論すること，書くことを基本とした活動内容とします。学校にかかわる教育事象について，歴史社会学（場合によっては文化史，心性史，社会史を含める）の視点から考察するための文献を講読し、議論します。併せて，レポート作成のための文章表現の指導も行います。
