This course aims to teach students about the development and learning processes of infants, pupils, and students with special needs. They will understand the relevant characteristics and learn how to support them.
This course aims for students to acquire the necessary knowledge for understanding special needs education. Students become knowledgeable about what is needed in education to support children’s learning and development and also develop the basic awareness necessary for teachers. Moreover, students gain deeper understanding of children with special needs and the role of the instructor.

通常の学級にも在籍している発達障害や軽度知的障害をはじめとする様々な障害等により特別な支援を必要とする幼児、児童が授業において学習活動に参加している実感・達成感をもちながら学び、生きる力を身に付けていくことができるよう、幼児、児童の学習上又は生活上の困難を理解し、個別の教育的ニーズに対して、他の教員や関係機関と連携しながら組織的に対応していくために必要な知識や支援方法を理解する。
This course aims to teach students about the development and learning processes of infants, pupils, and students with special needs. They will understand the relevant characteristics and learn how to support them.
特別支援教育の目標とテーマ、教育制度上の諸課題について概説した後、発達障害や軽度知的障害をはじめとした、特別な支援を必要とする幼児、児童の特徴についての理解を深め、その子たちに求められる指導のあり方を探究する。その後、当該の子どもたちの置かれた地域、家庭状況等について検討し、その支援の方法、課題についての理解を深める。
