Students will create class lesson plans for carrying out elementary school physical education classes, and by conducting actual mock classes, learn points to remember for instructing elementary school physical education classes.
Based on their class lesson plans, students will plan a program aimed at letting pupils experience the fun of exercise and developing physical and mental health. At that time, it will be necessary to run a class that is based on problems specific to coaching athletics such as consideration of safety checks, motivation and individual differences, etc. Also, when students think about the progression of the class, they will get different results depending on how they give directions to line pupils up in rows or form groups, etc. Students will think about these kinds of points, and after completing a mock class will be given time to discuss their reflections on it. Each class will follow the below time schedule.
1. Attendance check and mock class preparation and checking, 15 minutes.
2. Mock class 45 minutes
3. Reflection discussion 25 minutes
4. Summary 5 minutes
Students will make small groups in advance and carry out “writing instruction plans,” “mock classes,” and “writing reports on mock classes.” For class, students other than those in the group in charge will take on the roles of pupils. After finishing the mock class, students will have a reflective discussion about creating fun and appealing physical education classes.

小学校体育科授業を実施するために授業指導案を作成し，実際に模擬授業を行うことで，小学校体育における指導上の留意点について学習する。
Students will create class lesson plans for carrying out elementary school physical education classes, and by conducting actual mock classes, learn points to remember for instructing elementary school physical education classes.
授業指導案をもとに運動の楽しさを体験することや心身の健全な発達を目指したプログラムを計画する。その際には，安全確保， 動機付けや個人差の考慮など，体を動かす実技指導特有の問題を踏まえた授業運営が必要となる。また，授業進行を考えると，児童を整列させることやグルーピングなど指示の出し方によって成果が違ってくる。このような点を考え，模擬授業終了後に，振り返りの討論の時間を設ける。各授業の時間配分は以下の通りである。
１．出席と模擬授業の準備，確認20分
２．模擬授業45分
３．振り返りの討論30分
４．まとめ5分
あらかじめ少人数のグループを作り「指導案の作成」「模擬授業」「模擬授業レポートの作成」を行っていく。授業は担当グループ以外の学生が児童役で実施するものとする。模擬授業終了後，振り返りの討論で楽しく魅力的な体育授業について議論する。

模擬授業のための準備（シミュレーション）を事前に十分行うこと。また，２回目以降は運動が出来る服装，靴に着替えて集合すること。施設はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター地下２階アリーナ、４階多目的コート、地下１階プールを使用予定。
