(1) To understand the purpose, content, methods, and evaluation of science education.
(2) To understand the current status of science learning among Japanese children, and the characteristics and trends of learners' understanding of natural phenomena.
(3) To understand how to solve contemporary issues in science education
In this lecture, we will overview the basic and fundamental knowledge related to science in elementary education. In addition, the current situation of children in Japan and issues that need to be solved in science education will be explained by presenting various documents and information. In this lecture, the viewpoint of active learning will be incorporated, and there will be many opportunities for students to engage in group work, discussion, and literature reading.

①理科教育の目的・内容・方法・評価について理解する。
②日本の子どもの理科学習の現状を把握するとともに，自然事象に対する学習者の認識の特徴や傾向を理解する。
③理科教育における現代的課題の解決方法について理解する。

本講義では，初等教育における理科に関わる基礎的・基本的な知識を概観する。また，日本の子どもの現状や理科教育において解決すべき課題について，多様な文献や情報を提示しながら説明する。本授業では，アクティブ・ラーニングの視点を取り入れ，受講生のグループワークや討論，文献輪読の機会を数多く設ける。
In this lecture, we will overview the basic and fundamental knowledge related to science in elementary education. In addition, the current situation of children in Japan and issues that need to be solved in science education will be explained by presenting various documents and information.
