The aim of this course is for students to question their own individual goals and clarify the meaning and purpose of their study of the humanities, while they design their own lives and careers.
"Know thyself" is the eternal theme of the humanities. Whatever the age and culture, every human being has pursued "the self and how to live." Interestingly, the fact that the answer differs for every individual is what distinguishes the humanities from other studies. This class is not a vocational education class. Its aim is for students to think about "Who am I?," "What does it mean to live with others?," and "What themes do I want to explore throughout my life?," while keeping their future life designs in mind. At the base is thinking on one's own.

人文学本来の学びの中で、個々の目標を問い、学問の意味や目的を明確にしながら、じぶんで人生設計し、キャリアをデザインすることが目標です。

もともと「汝自身を知ること」が人文学の永遠の主題です。どんな時代や文化であろうと、全ての人間が「おのれとその生き方」を追求しました。しかもその答えが個人個人で違う点こそが、他の学問と異なって人文学の真髄なのです。この授業は、職業教育ではありません。将来の人生設計を念頭に置きながら、「じぶんはいったい何者なのか」「人と共に生きるとは何なのか」「じぶんの人生全体で探求したいテーマは何か」といったことを考えることが目標です。基本はじぶんで考えることです。

対面形式とオンデマンドのオンライン形式を併用して実施する。2回の振り返り授業と最後のまとめの授業は対面で行う。計10回の「ゲスト講師による講義」の形式については今後アナウンスすることにしたい。
