Students will reinforce basic grammars they have learnt in autumn semester of year 1. Students will focus on Nebensatz, ability to construct phrases at intermediate level and express themselves. The play of a german drama will simulate the real communication.
Students will have to correctly understand complex German text and express sophisticated concepts in adult German language by themselves. Knowledge and practice of German language structure, particularly Nebensatz led by subordinate conjunction, is essential to learn and acquire German language skill. In this class, students will use LL materials in German to learn how to use subordinated conjunctions, dass and weil, as well as connection pattern between main clause and Nebensatz. Students will use wide variety of examples to learn them systematically and extensively. Through repeated practices at CALL classroom, students will use their ears and mouths to memorize these patterns. Through these practices, students will organize and understand lengthy texts. As students become able to express these texts, their German comprehension skills will improve dramatically. Their speed reading and expression skills are guaranteed to improve drastically too. Professors will explain example texts during first half of class and use CD in the second half to repeatedly practice each example. The key to mastering Nebensatz is to attend class each time without missing, understand explanations about Nebensatz structure, and actively practicing them.

１年次秋学期に学んだ初級文法の知識を確実なものにしながら，副文を重点的に学んで，中級レベルの構文把握力と表現力を習得しよう。ドイツ語戯曲をグループでプレイすることでコミュニケーションをしてみよう。

ドイツ文の複雑な内容を正確に理解するために，また自分でも高度な内容の「おとな」のドイツ語表現ができるようになるためにも，ドイツ語の構文，特に従属接続詞に導かれた副文（Nebensatz）の構造に関する知識と実践は欠かすことができない。この授業ではドイツで作成されたLL用の教材を用い，dassやweilといった従属接続詞の意味と用い方，主文と副文のコンビネーション・パターンを，豊富な例文をもとに体系的・網羅的に学びながら，CALL教室での反復練習によってそのパターンを耳と口で覚えよう。こうした練習を通じて長めの文をひとつのまとまりとして理解し，表現できるようになれば，ドイツ語の理解力が飛躍的に伸び，速読力も表現力も大幅に強化されること請け合いだ。それぞれの授業の前半では，教員がテキストの例文を文法的に説明するので，後半はＣＤを使って，各自例題の反復練習をしよう。毎回欠かさず出席して，副文構造の説明を理解して，積極的に練習して副文を体得することが，実力アップの鍵だ。
