Students will major German literature and cultural studies, search their own research topic to write graduation thesis. They will research materials, have presentations, discuss about their topics with the participants and write their thesis at last.
This course introduces various topics of feminist cultural history. As the starting point, I will distribute the tables of contents of three volumes which obtains papers on this field. Each student should choose one of the papers to summarize, to give his/her first presentation, and to discuss with other participants. From the second presentation, students should find the material by themselves.
My research interest is especially related to 1.) gender representations, 2.) cultural history of the GDR, especially literature and film produced in the GDR and after its collapse, 3.) memory and remembrance of historical events in contemporary German literature and other media.
However, students are not limited to these subjects when choosing their research topics.
In the discussion, students will moderate and take protocols in turn.

ドイツ語圏を対象とする文学研究・文化研究に入門し、各自の卒論へとつながるテーマを探す。参加者との討論をおこないながら、資料調査・口頭発表・執筆へと進んでいく。
Students will major German literature and cultural studies, search their own research topic to write graduation thesis. They will research materials, have presentations, discuss about their topics with the participants and write their thesis at last.
個別発表あるいはグループ発表を行い、参加者全員で討論する。
ジェンダー研究の入門書を最初に共通テクストとして読む。
学生の個人発表は、第1回目は文献リストから主要な参照文献を選ぶ。
2回目以降の発表は、図書館での探索などを通して自分で選ぶことを勧めていくが、随時教員に相談して参照文献やテーマを選んでいく。
担当教員の研究上の関心領域は主に下記のとおり。
1 ジェンダー表象（文学における女性像／男性像、家族・親族をめぐる表現など）、フェミニズム
2 東ドイツ（ドイツ民主共和国1949-1990）の文学・映画、東ドイツ崩壊後の問題
3 歴史的できごとの記憶と想起に関する文学・文化
ゼミ生の研究テーマはこれに縛られる必要はない。
