Students will practice reading German texts. An the same time, they should develop historical perspective on gender culture, focusing on a marriage in the late 19th century.
1)Reading the textbook (an edited version of “Effi Briest” for students).
2) Practice grammar and vocabulary in groups.
3) Reading a couple of texts (in Japanese) about the novel and its historical context and discuss about them.

ドイツ語文法の基礎をかため、長文読解力を向上させる。
19世紀末の女性主人公の結婚をめぐる物語をとおして、ジェンダー文化を歴史的にとらえる視点を養う。
Students will practice reading German texts. An the same time, they should develop historical perspective on gender culture, focusing on a marriage in the late 19th century.
1教科書の講読（学習者向けに編集され訳注が付されたドイツ語小説『エフィ・ブリースト』（抜粋）を用いる。原作はフォンターネ作、1896年）
2文法と語彙を確認する予習用プリント用いて単語クイズやグループ学習を行う。
3 「エフィ・ブリースト」に関する事典記事や、ジェンダー史の文献の抜粋（19世紀の市民層の女性の暮らしについて）を読んできて、ディスカッションを行う。
