To develop perspectives of feminist critics in that learning and analyzing differentiate female characters and their relationships.
This course introduces a variety of representation of sisters in literature and films.
Samples are chosen according to my analyzing perspective (introduced not by each text, but by topics), mostly the novels from Japanese, German and English speaking cultures.

文学作品および映画に登場する姉妹の表象を分析することにより、女性像の多様性や女性同士の関係性について考え、フェミニズム批評の視点を養う。
To develop perspectives of feminist critics in that learning and analyzing differentiate female characters and their relationships.
近現代の文学作品や映画に登場する姉妹の表象を、トピック別に紹介していく。
作品例はドイツ語、英語、日本語圏のものが主となる。

メアリー・ビアード『舌を抜かれる女性たち』を第2回講義の前後に読んでください。
小テストの前に、それまでの講義で学んだ内容（知識）を復習すること。
学期末までに、姉妹が登場する小説をひとつ選び、読み通して考察すること（小説の選択肢は授業中に指示する）。
