Students will learn methods for reading and understanding texts, gain knowledge and skills required for literary research, and acquire the capability for textual expression at a level that will enable the writing of graduation theses.
The seminar is intended for students who will write research essays, graduation theses, preliminary theses before graduation theses, etc. The class will proceed with a focus on presentations and discussions by students, with support by faculty members and TAs. Students will select texts based on their own interests, and will write reports and research papers on these.

テキストを読み解くための方法を学び文学研究に必要な知識と技能を学ぶとともに、卒業論文を執筆できる水準の文章表現能力を身につける。
Students will learn methods for reading and understanding texts, gain knowledge and skills required for literary research, and acquire the capability for textual expression at a level that will enable the writing of graduation theses.
本演習は研究小論文、卒業論文予備論文、卒業論文などを執筆する学生を対象とする。授業は学生による発表と議論を中心に進行し、教員とTAがそれをサポートする。テキストは学生が自らの関心に基づいて選択し、そのテキストに関するレポート、論文を執筆してもらう。

発表者は担当となる章の内容を深く理解し、要点をまとめたレジュメを用意する。演習の参加者はテキストを精読して演習に臨むこと。ゼミでは、他者への敬意をはらいつつ自分の「読み」を主体的に発言し、活発な相互批評を展開したいと考えている。
