The aim of this lecture is to give an account of a general feature and the importance of contemporary French thought.
It provides with students some philosophical points of view of contemporary French thinkers around a variety of topics.
Although "Contemporary French Philosophy" may sometimes refer to that of 1960s and 70s, this lecture focus on its more recent trends around more actual issues.
Basically, this course will be conducted in a chronological order with a concrete theme on each lecture. Each time it will pick up one or plural philosophers, in order to give an account of his/her/their philosophical insights on the related theme.

この授業では、現代フランス哲学を扱います。
毎回具体的なテーマを設定し、それに関連する現代フランスの哲学の議論を紹介します。
よく「フランス現代思想」という表現が使われますが、それが指しているのは1960年代〜70年代の思想であることが多いです。もちろんそうした思想も重要ですし今もなお読む価値がありますが、本講義では、むしろそれ以降から現代までの時代をとくに扱います。授業で紹介する哲学者には著名な人からあまり知られていない人もいますが、総じてなかなかスリリングで面白い考察を展開しています。現代のフランス哲学の面白さを伝えることがこの授業の第一の目標です。また、とりわけアクチュアルな問題について、そうした現代フランスの哲学者たちが何をどう論じてきたのかを知ることは、履修者自身がさまざまに考察を深める際にも多いに参考になると思います。その点が第二の目標です。

授業ではある程度時系列に従いつつ、毎回一つのテーマを取り上げます（授業計画を参照）。
それに関する一人ないし複数の哲学者の思想（テキスト）の解説を通じて考察を深めます。
