The goal of this course is to understand the mechanism and role of basic double-entry bookkeeping.
Double-entry bookkeeping is a system that makes it possible to provide useful accounting information to parties inside and outside a company by classifying, organizing, and recording complex corporate transactions based on a small number of transaction elements. In this course, students will learn the basic mechanism of double-entry bookkeeping. The lectures on the usefulness of financial statements and recent topics are given. Opportunities will be provided for students to work on problem exercises in class.

基本的な複式簿記の仕組み・役割を理解することを目標とする。
The goal of this course is to understand the mechanism and role of basic double-entry bookkeeping.
複式簿記とは、複雑な企業の取引を、数少ない取引要素で分類・整理・記録することにより、企業内外の関係者にとって有用な会計情報を提供することを可能にするシステムである。本授業では、複式簿記の基本的な仕組みを学ぶとともに、財務諸表はどのように有用か、近年のトピック等について、適宜講義を行う。授業内でも学生が問題演習に取り組む機会を設ける。
