The purposes of this lecture are to nurture the following perspective through the formation and development of classical economics: (1)characteristics of economic thought, (2)understanding the debate regarding the theory of value and distribution, and (3)relativizing the current state of economics.
As the context for the birth of the science of political economy, the lecture begins with tracing the process of how political economy arose as a field of the science from modern natural law and mercantilism to the birth of the science of political economy by Adam Smith. Next will be discussed the completion of the classical economics by David Ricardo after commenting the Malthusian controversy, etc. And then, I will lecture the various developments of economics after Ricardo to provide the fundamental perspective for comparison and organization of the current state of economics.

古典派経済学の形成と発展を通じて，（1）経済学的思考の特質，（2）価値と分配の理論をめぐる論争を理解し，（3）経済学の現在を相対化するための視座を養うことを目的とする。

経済学が生まれ出た文脈としての近代自然法や重商主義などから，いかにして経済学が学として自立したか，その過程の考察から始まり，アダム・スミスにおける経済学の生誕の講義で授業の最初のポイントが終了する。次いで，フランス革命論争を経たのちのデイヴィッド・リカードウによる古典派体系の完成と，リカードウ後の種々の経済学の発展を講義する中で，経済学の現在を相対化し，整理するための視座の基礎を提供する。
