【Course Objectives】

Understanding the current state of the Japanese economy and the issues it has been facing recently. Specifically, discussion will focus on the macroeconomic trends and business investment, which is the driving force of economic growth, and the objective is to be able to read the characteristics of the related financial and labor markets and to understand and explain their relationship to the global economy.

【Course Contents】

Bring up the issues of the Japanese economy that are often reported by the mass media, explain the economic management framework and the behavior of economic entities, and understand the overall picture of the Japanese economy. Once during the class a person actually involved with this will be invited to come and explain it directly. In addition, the students will be given time to present reports they have created and an opportunity will be provided for them to discuss specific issues.
