To understand the actual tax systems and tax policies from the perspective of tax theory.
This lecture focuses on tax theory as one perspective for understanding the disputes regarding tax policy.
As is well known, actual tax policy is not necessarily consistent with tax theory. Having said that, tax theory is one measure for understanding tax systems and for clarifying the disputes regarding contemporary tax policy.

租税理論の視点から現実の租税制度・租税政策を理解する。
To understand the actual tax systems and tax policies from the perspective of tax theory.
本講義は租税政策上の争点を理解するための一つの視点として，租税理論を重視する。
周知のように，現実の租税制度は租税理論とは必ずしも整合的でない側面がある。とはいえ，租税理論は，租税制度を理解し，現代の租税政策上の争点を明確化するための一つの指標となる。
