【Course Objectives】

In this lecture students will gain the knowledge required to understand the roles and functions of the securities system in the contemporary economy to develop the ability to think about the influence the expansion of the financial intermediation mechanism through the securities market has on financial institutions and the economic structure.

【Course Contents】

The phenomena called “financial securitization” is expanding under the contemporary economic system which is transitioning from the financial intermediation system through the conventional banking system to a financial intermediation system through the securities market. This lecture will reveal the structure of the “market type economic system” and theoretically and empirically consider the effects of this system on the financial system and overall economic structure and to think about how the securities system should be in the future.
