In this lecture students will acquire the knowledge necessary to understand the contemporary securities market and develop the ability to think about why the hypertrophic phenomenon of the currently rapidly growing securities market is occurring and how this will develop in the future.
The roles and functions of the securities market have been greatly changing since the 1980’s due to the globalization of and increased use of information technology in finance. In this lecture students will gain an understanding of the basic structure of the contemporary securities market while considering the historical changes to the market and what impact this has had on the securities industry and banking industry. In particular, the cumulative phenomenon of financial assets, such as government bonds and stocks, which are traded on financial markets, has expanded under the managed currency system and students will gain a deeper understanding of why and how this came to be.

本講義では、現代の証券市場を理解するための必要な知識を習得し、現在、急速に進行している証券市場の肥大化現象がなぜ発生し、それが今後、どのように展開していくのかということについて考える力を養成していく。

1980年代以降、金融のグローバル化、IT化の進展を受けて、証券市場の機能と役割が大きく変化してきている。この講義では、現代の証券市場の基本的な構造を理解しながら、それが歴史的にどのような変化を遂げ、証券業や銀行業のあり方にどのような影響を与えてきたのかということについて考えていく。特に、管理通貨制度の下で、証券市場で売買される国債や株式等の金融資産の累積現象が進展しており、それが、なぜ、どのようにして生じてきているのかということについて理解を深めていく。
