【Course Objectives】

With the aim of fostering innovators who can give guidance in an uncertain future, the aim is for students to read the major trends in the world, rather than thinking short-term, and acquire the "ability to imagine an uncertain future" while training inputs and outputs for thinking with their own mind in order to learn the principles and knowledge that cause innovation.

Therefore, we will conduct training on thinking skills for students to be able to discover and think about problems themselves (i.e. logical thinking and creative thinking), and implement inputs and training within the course to deliver outputs (i.e. debates, presentations, worksheets).

【Course Contents】

In this course, students will deepen their thinking from the following perspectives
1) From micro to macro
<Sharpen our ""point of view"">
Students will understand the history of changes, the background of the times, and the processes, etc. when facing facts, and develop the ability to interpret facts from a sharp point of view considering "what parts to look at."
2) From Japan to the world
Develop the ability to see on a global scale, not just in Japan, and to read the changes taking place across the world.
3) From the past to the future
<Elevate your "perspective">
Students will develop the ability to elevate their perspective of thinking and judgment while thinking about the position of the provider of value and of judgment, not as a consumer or university student.
Students will practice six steps to achieve the above.
1. Recognize the importance of thinking
2. Recognize tools (frameworks) for thinking
3. Practice using the tools (frameworks) for thinking
4. Train to think about the unknown
5. Connect the unknown and the real world
6. Establish thought cycles
