This course is a practical introduction to corporate finance for lay people.
By demonstrating how companies listed on stockmarkets make announcements, conduct fund raising and engage in corporate action, it will prepare students to become well-informed retail investors.

| The study material for this course will be referenced in the lecture slides as weblinks. They will all be freely available internet resources or articles. |
Each class will be divided into 2 parts. The first half will be a lecture presentation using powerpoint slides. The second half will be group discussions, with 4 or 5 students per group. A member of each group may be required to present the group's findings.
It would be helpful if students bring along an internet accessible device (tablet, laptop) for use in group discussion.
