A discussion of topical issues in Economics to make it interesting for students to learn the underlying subject content as well as to practice reading, listening and expressing themselves in the English language.
This course presents a discussion about the economics of renewable energy, with reference to geopolitics and examples of initiatives from around the world.

It is recommended that students read the prescribed weekly materials before class, in order to be ready for group discussion during class.

| The study material for this course will be referenced in the lecture slides as weblinks. They will all be freely available internet resources or articles. |
Each class will be divided into 2 parts. The first half will be a lecture presentation using powerpoint slides. The second half will be group discussions, with 4 or 5 students per group. A member of each group may be required to present the group's findings.
It would be helpful if students bring along an internet accessible device (tablet, laptop) for use in group discussion.
