To learn the analytical methods used for economic statistics and to write excellent academic papers and reports.
The students will gain knowledge about and the ability to use systematic economic statistics to write professional papers. This class consists of 5 opportunities (① Time to learn through practice of empirical analysis, ② Challenge to contribute student papers to academic paper contests outside the school, essay contests, etc.), ③ Practice making materials and giving presentations, ④ Time for trial and error for academic paper writing and analysis (write academic papers and book reviews), and ⑤ Acquire certification).

経済統計を利用した分析手法を学び、優れた論文・レポート作成を行う
To learn the analytical methods used for economic statistics and to write excellent academic papers and reports.
体系的な経済統計の成り立ちと知識を身に付けて専門的な文書の作成を行う。授業は5つの機会(①実証分析を演習を通じて学ぶ時間、②学外の論文大会への挑戦コンテスト、懸賞論文他)、③資料の作成とプレゼンの実践、④論文作成や分析を試行錯誤する時間（論文・レポート作成）、⑤資格の取得)を組み合わせる。

輪読準備、書評(年4回程度)、プレゼン資料、レポート・論文の作成、キャリアセンターや社会情報教育研究センターセミナー・ガイダンスへの参加、学外施設の見学等がある。統計検定２級の資格実績がない場合、統計検定への受験を求める。

統計関連科目、情報処理科目はできるだけ履修すること。この授業は社会調査士資格G科目認定講座で、統計検定2級、3級、統計調査士の関連科目である。資格取得を推奨する。この授業のほかいくつかの科目の単位を修得後申請すると、社会調査士資格が得られる。その他、授業統計検定と統計調査士に受かるよう対策を案内する。
