To understand the dynamism of the industries and companies that support the growth and development of the Chinese economy and to grasp their situations. The objective of this course is to plan and conduct visit interviews of companies to foster the skills needed by new graduates to contribute immediately in Japanese multinationals (thinking ability, planning ability, ability to drive the work forward, communication ability, etc.).
This seminar combines the study of literature and practice of company studies to understand the Chinese economy from the micro perspective and especially to theoretically and empirically grasp the development of industries and companies. Specifically, during the first stage students will carefully read literature (textbook) analyzing Chinese industry development and company growth to gain basic knowledge. During the second stage students will prepare plans for company visit studies in China (set the theme and contents, select the industries and companies, divide into groups, etc.) and conduct these during the summer vacation period. During the third stage students will write their reports of the results of the company visit studies conducted in China and give related presentations (joint work by groups). During the fourth stage (3rd and 4th year students) the students will set their themes regarding Chinese industry development and company management keeping in mind the study and research issues they identified during the process of conducting the local company visit studies and creating their reports and then conduct the research and analysis and compile their final reports.

中国経済の成長と発展を支える産業と企業のダイナミズムを理解し、その実態を把握する。中国現地企業の訪問調査を企画・実施することを通じて、グローバル経営を行っている日系企業が、新卒者に求める即戦力（思考力、企画力、推進力、コミュニケーション力など）を養うことを目標とする。

このゼミでは、中国経済のミクロ的な側面、とりわけ産業と企業の発展を理論的、実証的に把握するため、文献資料の学習と企業調査の実践を組み合わせる。具体的に、第一段階では、中国の産業発展と企業成長について分析した文献（テキスト）を精読することを通じて、基本的な知識を習得する。第二段階では、中国現地での企業訪問調査に関する企画（テーマと内容の設定、産業と企業の選定、グループ分け等）を立て、夏休み期間中に実施する。第三段階では、中国現地での企業訪問調査の成果をまとめた報告書を作成し、プレゼンテーションを行う（グループ別の共同作業）。第四段階（3、4年生）では、現地企業の訪問調査と報告書の作成過程で明らかになった学習・研究課題を念頭に、中国の産業発展と企業経営に関連するテーマを設定し、研究分析し、最終レポートをまとめる。

2年生は、夏休み期間中に中国に赴き、現地企業の訪問調査を行う。期間は約1週間、費用は15万円程度を予定している。現地企業調査には、原則すべてのゼミ生の参加を求める。
（＊夏休み（8月末）までに、世界的なコロナパンデミックが収束せず、海外渡航が困難な場合は、春休み期間中（2024年2月～3月）に実施する予定である）
