【授業の目標 / Course Objectives】

この授業の目標は、財務報告に関する研究を行うために必要な基礎的な能力を習得することである。具体的には、次のような能力の獲得を目指す。（1）現在の会計基準や会計制度の背後にある考え方を理解できるようになる。（2）財務情報等のデータベースを活用して企業の実態を分析できるようになる。（3）財務報告に関する学術論文や専門書等を参考にして、特定のテーマに関する分析結果を適切な文章表現でまとめることができるようになる。

The objective of this class is to acquire the basic abilities necessary to conduct research on financial reports. The specific objective is for students to acquire the following abilities. (1) Be able to understand the concepts behind the present accounting standards and accounting system. (2) Be able to use databases of financial and other information to analyze the states of companies. (3) Be able to refer to academic papers and specialized publications, etc., regarding financial reports and then be able to compile the results of analysis on a specific theme using suitable wording.

【授業の内容 / Course Contents】

財務報告に関連するテーマにはさまざまなものがあるため、まずは財務諸表分析を主たるテーマとし、企業経営の実態を財務諸表から定性的・定量的に分析する能力を習得する。財務諸表分析を行うためには、財務諸表の構造を適切に理解する必要があるため、テキストに基づいて会計基準や制度を学習する。具体的には、テキストの内容の中で関心を抱いたトピックをチームごとにさらに深く調査し、授業ではその調査内容を報告・議論する。各授業回の調査では、基本的な財務指標等を財務データベースから抽出・加工することを推奨するため、この学習を通じて財務情報等のデータベースを使いこなせるようにする。その後、テーマ別の研究を行う。例えば、スチュワードシップ・コードやコーポレートガバナンス・コードなどを取り上げ、それらに関連する論文や書籍等をもとに議論を行う。なお、日経ストックリーグやプロネクサス懸賞論文などに参加する場合もある。

There are a variety of themes regarding financial reports, so first for the main theme of financial statement analysis, students will acquire the ability to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the state of company management from the financial statements. Performing financial statement analysis requires proper understanding of the structure of the financial statements, so students will learn the accounting standards and system based on the textbook. In particular, each team will deeply research a topic of interest from the textbook and then during class report and discuss their study results. For the study conducted during each class it is recommended that the students extract and process information from financial databases, such as the basic financial indicators, so that they will learn how to use databases of financial and other information. After that students will conduct research on themes. For example, the stewardship code or corporate governance code can be addressed and discussions held of related papers and books, etc. Students can also participate in the Nikkei Stock League or Pronexus Essay Contest, etc.

【授業時間外（予習・復習等）の学習 / Study Required Outside of Class】

・授業で取り扱うテキストや文献等を予習・復習する必要がある。
・履修者の状況にもよるが、3～4名のチーム単位での調査・報告を予定している。報告担当の授業に向けて事前に共同で調査を行い、調査結果をレジュメにまとめる必要がある。
・必要に応じてエクセルなどのソフトウェアを使えるようにする必要がある。
・日商簿記検定2級程度の知識を前提とするため、2年次からゼミと並行して自主的に同資格の取得に向けた学習を行うことを推奨する。
