【Course Objectives】

To acquire a basic understanding of modern economics and the ability to analyze it. In addition, for students to polish their ability to think logically and to be able to communicate their ideas to others through discussions, presentations, and paper writing based on rational thinking. These abilities are required not just when a student but throughout life.

【Course Contents】

Students will learn the fundamentals of Keynesian economics and behavioral economics.
Questions will be posed regarding orthodox economics that asserts that total reliance on the rational behavior of human beings and obtaining an optimum equilibrium through free competition in an attempt to exceed its limitations. Students will learn the economic concepts that are the foundation of contemporary economic policy under the theme of reevaluating their adequacy.
The specific theme will be adjusted and finalized in consultation with the students.
The activities will center on reading, group work, discussion, and writing the seminar thesis.
In addition to researching a common theme for the seminar, second and third year students will read a wide range of books and set and research their own research theme. Fourth year students will expand that research and write their graduation thesis.
