The objective of the course is for students to acquire practical power of imagination that will allow them to anticipate the overall reasoning in advance and then in practice to make appropriate corrections as needed.

【Course Contents】

To study sustainability of global capitalism, it is necessary to focus on anti-globalism and the backlash to globalization, including such issues as US-China-Russia new cold war, the global financial crisis, resource restraint, inflationary phase anti-EU sentiment, and populism, America-first , terrorism and refugees, and the reaction to them. In addition, the automobile industry is being transformed by autonomous driving, ride sharing, and the shift to electric vehicles. And there is the transformation of the banking industry and the emergence of new finance as cashless transactions spread and reduction of phisical branches. Both of these transformation are being achieved through information technology. The stable separation of the manufacturing industry, finance, and IT has come to an end and the fusion of these industries requires policy responses. The power of imagination to respond to the sustainability of global capitalism is required.
