The course objectives are to enable students to: (i) learn about basic ideas of sociology by reading texts, (ii) know how to analyze an issue from a sociological perspective, and (iii) see their research from different perspectives through discussion.
The course is composed of readings and discussions. Students learn about how to grasp social consciousness through the reading of sociological text and the interpretation of culture.

・入門書レベルの書籍をていねいに読んでいくことで、社会学・人文学的思考法の基礎を身につける。
・発表を通じて、自己の考えを他者に伝えるための方法を学ぶ。
・討論を通じて、他者の問題関心を理解しながら、同時に自己の問題関心を深めていく方法を身につける。
The course objectives are to enable students to: (i) learn about basic ideas of sociology by reading texts, (ii) know how to analyze an issue from a sociological perspective, and (iii) see their research from different perspectives through discussion.
“本を読む”こと、“本を通じて考えること”は、簡単にそうに見えて、意外とむずかしい。本演習では、新書レベルの「思想」や「現代社会論」に関する本を読んでいくことを通じて、“読むこと”、“考えること”、“論じること”についての基礎的なスタンスを身につけていった欲しいと考えている（“内在的に理解すること”と“批判的に読むこと”の二つの態度をともに身につけて欲しいとも考え、論争的な本も選んでいる）。
今期は、「人が社会を生きること」を「哲学」的なレベルで考察した2022年刊行の本を比較的多目に読んでいくこととしたい。身近なトピックを扱うことで、「社会」と「自己」、そして「学問」の間にある関係について積極的に議論に参加しながら、“考えること”を身につけていってほしい。
